LAURENT COULONDRE – ALBUM « MICHEL ON MY MIND » – SORTI LE 23/08/2019
« Le Michel qui est dans l’esprit, les doigts, l’interprétation du pianiste Laurent Coulondre, c’est Michel Petrucciani, mort le 6 janvier 1999, à l’âge de 36 ans. Coulondre lui rend hommage avec une sélection des compositions du grand du jazz, parmi lesquelles Brazilian Like, Looking Up, Rachid ou Colors, et également avec deux thèmes qu’il a écrits, dont la superbe ballade Michel on My Mind, qui donne son titre à l’album et Les Grelots, thème de l’organiste Eddy Louiss (1941-2015), qui joua en duo avec Petrucciani. Le lyrisme mélodique, l’allégresse, la sensibilité musicienne de Petrucciani sont merveilleusement fêtés par Coulondre au piano et à l’orgue, Jérémy Bruyère, à la contrebasse et la basse et le batteur André Ceccarelli. Tous trois en complicité de swing délié, d’attention à leur sujet. »
